Two weeks ago, our weekly theme at Baby Bears was Community Helpers, and what an exciting week it was! Our boys and girls had the joy of meeting some real-life heroes. We were visited by a dedicated team, including a police officer and a special detective from SAPS, a traffic officer from JMPD, a social worker, a member of the Community Policing Forum and a representative from LifeLine.
They shared the important work they do to keep people safe, taught our little ones how to remember emergency numbers, and reminded them of the golden rule — never go anywhere with a stranger. Our Baby Bears also learnt a fun road safety song and were reminded how and where to cross the road safely.
A heartfelt thank you to Sergeant Mthembu and his team for taking the time to inspire and educate our children. We can’t wait to welcome you back for more learning and singing in the future!
