Debating Success at the Johannesburg South Debating League

Debating at preparatory school level is about much more than competition. It builds critical  thinking, confidence, and articulate communication, while teaching the value of listening, teamwork, and respectful argument. These skills will serve our boys well both in the classroom and beyond.

Our Junior Team delivered an exceptional performance, winning 1st Place in the Junior Division of the Debating league. Congratulations to Gabriel Marcou, Kgosi Mapila, Nicholas Wolhuter, Riley Howe and Thomas David. A special mention goes to Kgosi Mapila, who was awarded Best Speaker in the final round, and Gabriel Marcou, who was named 2nd Best Speaker Overall.

Our Senior Team earned a well-deserved 2nd Place in the Senior League. Congratulations to: Muhammed Abba, Siphesihle Ncube, James Hooper, Shabir Ssunna and Taye Koma.

These outstanding results mean that both teams will be competing at National Level in September. We wish our boys the best of luck. We are immensely proud of their dedication, hard work, and school spirit.
