Our Grade 1s had the honour of hosting a special send-off braai for the Class of 2026 Matrics. From our youngest Edwardians to our soon-to-be old boys, it was an afternoon filled with good food, great laughs, and classic King Edward VII School spirit.

Competing against 25 schools in the Senior divisio

Competing against 25 schools in the Senior division, our KEPS debating teams delivered phenomenal overall results, with KEPS C2 placing 14th and KEPS C1 finishing 10th.
Individual Speaker Rankings:
* 2nd Place Overall: Taye Khoma 🏆
* Top 50 Speakers: Nicholas Wolhuter (31st), James Hooper (35th), Mphephethe Gwala (40th), Thomas David (45th), and Amahle Ncube (47th)
* Notable Performances: Shabir Ssunna (80th), Kgosi Mapela (101st), and Gabriel Marcou (121st)
Congratulations to the entire team for bringing home well-earned medals and trophies!

Our eSports teams represented the school with immense pride, passion, and teamwork at the Comic-Con eSports event, competing across two major tournaments:
* Minecraft Education: Preston Fraser, Aidan Strachan, Jesse Loader, and Asher Godfrey
* Rocket League: Oluhle Njumbuxa, Caleb Janse van Rensburg, and Jamie Cleland
Both teams delivered brilliant performances, battling their way to the quarterfinals in both divisions. Beyond the results, the boys stood out for their discipline, enthusiasm, and outstanding team spirit.

As our third term winds to a close, our boys have had their hands full with our musical House Plays followed by Literacy Day where our boys (and teachers!) step into the shoes of their favorite literary characters, they build a deeper connection to narratives, sharpening their reading and imaginative play. 📚

House plays foster this magic on a grander scale by combining drama, team spirit, and healthy competition, encouraging pupils of all ages to collaborate, perform, and express themselves with confidence. You really blew us away! Congratulations to Hofmeyr on your win and to all our budding actors! The academy awaits! 🎭

Every year we walk in solidarity with women on Women’s Day and this year, the young men of KEPS took a decisive, unified stand against Gender-Based Violence. Stepping beyond the classroom, they marched together to send a clear message: the fight against GBV requires active leadership, personal accountability, and unwavering solidarity from men and boys.
The walk serves as a powerful public statement of support for survivors, making it clear that violence against women and children has no place in our community or country.

The march reflects the true character of KEPS—building young men of integrity, courage, and empathy. Every step taken today represented a promise to actively foster a safer, more equitable future for all.

Our annual sports day is always a highlight on the

Our annual sports day is always a highlight on the calendar, with our little ones counting down the sleeps for weeks—and this year’s event was one for the memory books!

From the moment the whistle blew, the field was bursting with high energy, big smiles, and vibrant carnival colours. Our little athletes gave it their all!

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, and teachers who laced up their sneakers and took on the grown-up races. The warmth, laughter, and strong community spirit showed what makes our pre-prep family so special.

Thank you to everyone who helped set up, run stalls and for your generous contributions and prizes. Thank you for coming out, cheering at the top of your lungs, supporting our school and for making this year’s Carnival & Sports Day such a resounding success.

August brought exceptional achievements across STE

August brought exceptional achievements across STEM and humanities for KEPS. In Technology, our Grade 7 team placed 2nd in the Provincial Olympiad, while our District Technology contenders took 1st place to secure their spot at the upcoming Provincial level.

Our mathematicians impressed at the AMESA competition, with six boys earning stellar results to advance to the final round.

To top off a brilliant month, both KEPS Teams conquered their semi-final matches in the Debating Championships and will now compete against each other in the finals.

Well done to every boy who received Merit Badges and Strenue certificates for demonstrating exceptional effort, academic focus, and school pride!

Congratulations to all our boys, and good luck in the next rounds!

The 2026 International Marimba and Steelpan Festival was officially the biggest in the world—with over 1,600 performers—and our KEPS Marimba Boys absolutely dominated!
We placed in EVERY SINGLE category we entered:
🥇 1st Place: South African/African Category 🥈 2nd Place: Battle of the Bands 🥈 2nd Place: Classical Category
Congratulations to our marimba boys for the endless hours of practice, and a big thank you to Coach Hastings, Ms Mangele, and Mr Kotze for pushing us to be the best!
