Huge congratulations to C. Govender for partipatin

Huge congratulations to C. Govender for partipating in the Benoni District Competition ( Ultimate martial arts and fitness) against two other studios and was placed in all 4 categories that he entered.

He was placed 2nd in the traditional form category, 1st in the traditional weapons category, 1st in the Extreme form category and 1st in the Extreme weapons category.

We wish him well in the upcoming tournament in the Dragon Regionals in Pretoria in June.

Zayd was placed 2nd boys 6 and under narrowingly missing out on 1st place by 2 shots.

Roman, has officially been awarded his Grade 5 Violin Certificate from Trinity College London and has now progressed to Grade 6 level! 🌟

This highly respected, internationally recognised qualification in music performance marks a significant achievement in any young musician’s journey. Reaching Grade 5 violin is widely regarded as a major milestone, signalling the transition from a foundational player to an advanced intermediate musician.

To achieve this, Roman demonstrated:

Advanced technical skill — including confident shifting between 3rd and 5th positions, precise intonation, and complex bowing techniques.

Musical maturity — performing challenging multi-movement works with expression, stylistic understanding, and strong rhythmic control.

Exceptional sight-reading and aural ability — showing the ability to interpret unfamiliar music instantly while demonstrating a highly developed musical ear.
